What about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

My family has had a tradition of waking up early to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade since I was a little girl.  Then everyone would have breakfast and start cooking the main meal of the day. Last year I had 16 people at my house for Thanksgiving. This year I will be having my own personal Thanksgiving meal.

Things will be different for many of us this holiday season. Traditions that have gone on for years may look different this year because of the pandemic. The good news about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is that they will still have the big balloons and some performances, all pre-recorded and virtual. But it is a way to maintain a feel of a past tradition.

My guest is Bonnie Silberman, owner of Geriatric Resource Services and an expert in consulting with older adults and their families.  Bonnie will talk with us about modifying expectations and traditions for the holidays, and celebrating in whatever way makes sense for us.
