How Seniors are Saving the World

Episode #38

Dr. Thelma Reese recently published a book called "How Seniors are Saving the World." In it, she and her co-author, BJ Kittredge profile 24 seniors from 65 to 95. Each profile looks at how the individual has become an activist to an cause or an issue that speaks to their heart and their passion.

In my discussion with Dr. Reese, we covered what she had learned in the process of writing the book, we talked about what motivates activists and we talked about aging and how time impacts our perspectives on life. We also discussed how our society looks at aging and the barriers that are there to make intergenerational understanding difficult.

It is a fascinating and inspiring conversation.

Thanks so much for listening.
